R2 the battle bus

I gome stuff off ebay. Self adhesive foam strip, I think it was about 25 X 20mm section. If I can find a bit that's left over I'll measure tomorrow.
 
Cool thanks. I was wondering if hollow extruded rubber would hold its shape. The foam I took off was very poor and was probably fitted 2008
 
Couldn't find any left over foam seal, if the rain stops tomorrow I'll put Harvey's roof up and measure what's there.
 
Don’t go to that much trouble as it won’t have to be exact and the fact that I used 15mm ply for the sides anyway. The last person put 3 different types and sizes and even colour on it lol
 
I checked what I used to seal the sides, it's 20mm x 10mm deep self adhesive foam strip. I only used it on the sides as the top edge is well under the roofline. Can't see any harm in putting some along there though.
One thing I did find was that the top surface was a little sticky and stuck when the roof was down. A dusting with talc improved matters.

It’s a quick game of where do these go. I think somewhere in the cab area as they’re painted in the same fashion as bits round the seats etc. Any help greatly appreciated.

We’re still a little stumped on those bits of metal. Could they be from inside door skins to cover mechanisms?
 
It’s fine. They didn’t come off my seats so hopefully they were just rattling around somewhere. As long as they’re not engine mounts lol
 
Well it’s all looking promising for collecting on Friday. Bit of a problem with electrical gremlins messing with the lightning loom but hopefully by the end of today the front doors will be built, electrics sorted and then tomorrow polish again and clear coating and party time.

That is looking beautiful - really rattled on with that, these kind of restos usually drag on for years. Can’t wait to see it at Commmerfest 2021? :)
