Now Harvey's roof has been irritating me for a while namely the grotty side panels. Over the years they have warped and the outside surface has started to de-laminate, the inside got damp in his long years of storage and the varnish turned very dark - no amount of rubbing down would fix it

So off to B&Q where the very nice man cut me some pieces of 12mm exterior ply to size
The original isn't quite as dark as this but it made the inside look drab
Not quite as bad as the garage doors
I was surprised to find the side are only held on with three small hinges
Nice new ones cut out and shaped
Good grief they fit
the inside looked so much brighter I decided to paint them white on that side
Numerous coats of primer and colour later the weather strip was re-attached
And fitted up. Perfect colour match
So much more light inside
Just need to do something with the roof liner now, the original flock coating is manky and flaking off

Job for the near future.
Update on the engine bay vent system - it works. No more cutting out at junctions when hot
