X-box... It Moves.. it really moves!!

A few hours at it today. The axle is back in apart from the shockers, panhard rod and prop as I need to bleed the brakes before the wheels go on (the shockers etc need to be off to get the wheels in)
3, yes 3 hours trying to get a brake pedal. I even got Magz pumping the pedal. Still nothing!
Need my vac bleeder from work as my Eezi bleed won't fit.

Another few hours at it tonight. Still having issues bleeding up the brakes. I can now get the pedal to pump up and hold but if released and reapplied... it hits the floor. I've vacuum bled all 4 corners multiple times but the fluid coming out is minimal. I have an incling that the master cylinder inlet port or inlet pipe from the master cylinder is blocked or collapsed.
A pressure bleeder would have found it straight away but my eezi bleed doesn't fit.

So after pulling nearly 3 litres of brake fluid through all four corners I've ordered a master cylinder repair kit. Their may have been an airlock trapped in it resulting in a damaged seal

I had similar symptoms after fitting a 0.70 kit into a 0.75 bore master cylinder. Fortunately I had both kits so just used the correct one.

Here's the start of my new battery box. I've finally bought an Optima battery which is around d the physical size of a commer battery. The one I've been using is a truck battery and very heavy.
The plan is to mount it as low as possible in the van, baring in mind that 90% of the space between the front and rear wheels is taken up with engine, gearbox, exhausts and roll cage feet there's only one place it can go... between the fuel tank and rear number plate. I've measured up and it will fit with only minimal modifications to the number plate panel.
I decided to make it big enough to store my tyre inflator and puncture repair gun as well as the front towing eyes. It'll also put more weight over the back wheels for traction.
Ironically I'm using old British Gas boiler covers to make a battery box for an old British Gas van.

It was the relay which was a *ahem VW part. I've now replaced it with a generic Chinese unit. All good to go again.

115 mile round trip today. Fuel gauge dropped from full to empty in seconds. Fearing the worst I pulled over to find... the sender had come unplugged. Reconnected that and carried on. Only used 3/4 of a tank of fuel!
Sat for over an hour in traffic, temp gauge sat perfectly central. Still creeps up a tad on the motorway so I need to look into that
Managed to smash my mirror when reversing down the drive :(
