Hey Tim did you use any special techneque to weld the iron? I just had a go on an old manifold with a gassless mig and it seems ok but then someone said you cant just weld iron that easy[?]
Cheers

A commer down under - or down under a commer?

They were right, you can,t [xx(]. it will seem to weld ok with steel but if you look very close you will see loads of cracks. there is much more carbon in C.I so you need specific filler rods, either high nickel content monel, or I use bronze tig rods. you won,t succeed with a mig [xx(]
it needs a bit of pre-heat and as low amps as possible keeping it hand hot and taking your time with short stiches, rush it and its likely to shatter ;)

Has anyone got any positive feedback on using one of these ported manifolds yet?

You've know the difference the Webber and K&N makes and when you experience the extra horses with the new exhaust you'll be hooked and want MORE :p

New setup fitted, runs very smooth and with electric pump as well, cracks up straight away. Yet to roadtest though :)
