I remember your tank James, has it leaked all over the floor yet [?];):D

Any 1 3/4" SU, HIF6 or HIF44 off a Mini or Rover v8 is fine. Basically i cut your carb flange off and block the hole and make a new flange which is welded on the side. It,s more like the size of carb the engine needs to breathe properly.
If you can find someone local who can weld then they should be able to fit an RC40 for you. You just need to sort the pipe adaptor 1 1/2-1 3/4" :)

No it has'nt leaked at all its been great, i have a couple of mechanics that i use so i'll ask them if they could manage the exhaust but i may need a diagram for them[:eek:)] also just found a couple of them there su's, quite expensive may not be changing just yet as only done about 200 miles on new weber carb:)

just asking? why is an SU better than a webber? what are the pros and cons? Apparently Tigger has one of your ported manifolds Tim and I have an RC40, but he still fels a bit strangled?? or maybe it's just the pure weight of the glendale (snail) on the back?

It,s the Weber that,s strangling it Colin, 34mm choke as opposed to the SU at 44mm, basically it can,t pull enough air in [xx(]

I had to put two dashpot springs in Harvey's SU to stop the slide from bouncing - boy does it suck[8D]

Hmm, thanks guys.......Tim I think I have a spare inlet manifold, how much do you charge to mod it? (apart from the obligitory cake lol):)
