This gives you an idea of just how much weld is needed to get a decent port shape [:0]

Hello Martin can i ask what throttle cable you are running with your big su as mine doesnt open the carb much it just twists the rod running across the van, or have you removed one of the two return springs from the carb spindle[?] Also are you putting the panel back over the top of the carb and where is your airfilter now living[?] Thanks, Nathan

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labottomy!

Tim
Are you still doing these manifolds and if so how much do they cost? Debs has a 1600 engine in Brian, but we have a spare 1500 exhaust manifold will this fit a 1600 as we could get that one modded if your still doing them.

Dave

Yes Dave, still grinding away [xx(]. can do something for you ;)

Thanks Rich-Lou just gave them a bell and the gent said if i bought a maniflow system it would'nt need any mods is this true or if i bought rc40 what extra tubing do you need, many thanks for your patience i'm a carpenter not a mechanic:D

No prob I'm a builder myself and only know limited stuff. I'm not sure about maniflow system to be honest and as far as I can remember when mine was fitted no extra tube was needed but it requires lots of chopping and changing and welding together none of witch is a problem for Tim ( commeracer )

James, you don,t want a Maniflow system, as Rich says, just the RC40 middle and back boxes and fitting kit from Minispares. It just needs shortening and an adaptor sleeve to step up from the original down pipe, no extra pipe needed. I can do it all for you,but need the van here (Norfolk) :)
