That trailer has been pimped by Collison's and my fair hands (Notice the addition of Alloys!)I shall be back on the welding in the next few days to finish off the peak and roof. Got round to buying some carbide bits for my Die Grinder so I can get in those hard to reach places for grinding.
Joe, I had a look at your blog but haven't got around to joining up and replying (Been at Tims doing some Skirting [:0]) I will do a trade of you doing my engine and mechanical work for me doing your bodywork
Ha thanks Will. Its not much to look at to be honest, has been very stop and start. Id be up for that, everythings very much a learning curve for me too, nothing better then jumping in head first though

A short update....
The van has been relocated to a large workshop at Joe's (C0llis0n's) where the above trailer is.
It was parked under a Just Kampers cover but it wasn't dry enough for a vehicle that has little paint on it [B)]
So I am now getting to work for 6:30 to give myself an hour and a half of time in the morning before I start work and hopefully work through my lunch break if I am at the yard for the day
Front Peak (inner and outer) has been finished and I am just finishing baremetalling the whole roof from the gutter up and should have it filled and primered sometime in the next week.
More as it happens!

Had to drop off the Compressor at the workshop so spent a few minutes doing a bit to the windscreen surround. Lucky for me there is only this one bit to do

Been flexing my metal working muscles and managed to make some more repair panels up...
Although it is not easy to see I fabricated a repair for the valance to replace about 12" across the bottom and up, seen here aquasteeled:
And also the corner of the valance where it joins the door pillar:
Also finished the windscreen surround:
So I am quite pleased that the front panel and front end is finished along with the roof
I just need to sort out the very rotten door bottoms and get the lower parts of the sides and back ready to take new panels.

Removed all windows and doors.
Just got a bit of welding to do on the drivers side cab floor and step (which are both incredibly solid already) and then its a case of replacing the rear corners, number plate panel and side skirts..... Then prep and paint.

More progress today, getting really fed up with my crappy camera phone now as it makes all my work look worse than it is and you can't actually see what I am photgraphing [!]
Its not very clear, but in the 3rd photo from the top you can just make out that I have replaced the rotten metal around the seat base right down into the wheel arch as per-original, I was extremely pleased with this repair after it was ground flush, I was also excited to be using thicker guage metal
Got to replace a large chunk of the inner step from the back to halfway and also sort out the door pillar at the back as well. Many plates have been tacked on this van in this area in the past and all the rot was hidden. I am tempted to just cut off the other sill on the passenger side even though it looks good to make sure it is all solid inside.
Even though there was more rot than I thought I actually enjoyed hacking the sill about [8D]

Good work mate. Mine was in the same order as yours. I made my own cills for the front out of thicker sheet metal. Wasn't the prettiest of jobs but i now know they are solid i couldn't stretch my budget to new ones so had to speculate a little. Can you not feel from behind the outer cill to see if the inner is shot? Saves you hacking around too much needlessly
