Top work mate, i'm well impressed. That DVD? Can i still grab a copy?
Bit more progress:
With primer on the floor repair and seat box thingy:
As you can see the floor repair ribs aren't an exact match to the right of the repair as I had to make the repair section up at home over christmas 12 miles away from the van so I had nothing to keep trying it against, It's plenty good enough for the job it has to do though, being a floor under a carpet [8D]
Two rotten rear corners removed:
And some younger, fresher, fibreglassier (?) versions waiting to go on (Thanks again to Martin Maltas!!):
What lay beneath [:0] along with the first bit of good metal welded back in:
Opposite side also showing the repaired and filled number plate panel:
And finally, not much to look at, but here is the near-side of the van almost finished being prepped for primer (yes, I know, it isn't baremetal, but I have my reasons!)
It is getting closer, just the rear corners to finish and then the rest of the van to prep and it is ready for priming. Hoping for a van in time for the beginning of spring and hopefully an appearance at the welsh Commer meet in May.

More progress....
The bottom photo is a trial fit before the glue went on, it was just a good photo of the corner in place and I haven't been to the workshop to remove the clamps or wood ramp device yet.
One more rear corner and a couple of easy patches and I think I have a solid van! Apart from a bit on an outrigger which can wait until it is on the ramp.

If there is a problem with the fitment of the panels then it is purely down to me They are a great fit.

Pretty sure i have Lechler Ti Build 2k Primer and some Lechler Etch as well as UPOL Acid 8 and Hi build aerosols.
I will look into the Upol Barcoat. Could I etch any bare metal and do the filling and then seal the whole lot and also, is it like another layer of primer or is it completely different?
I still have my target of finishing the van and having it on the road in time for the welsh meet but there is still quite a lot to do besides getting the van sprayed and windows in Looks like there might be some long nights ahead....

Just be carefull using etch or acid 8 on your bare metal sections. As where you have flated the old layers of paint into the bare steel it tends to bleed through and lift the old paint. Best thing is to try a part if your not sure and definatly want to use it, see if it bleeds through. If you use bar coat you dont need etch. You can just pour it straight from the can to the gun with no hardner or thiner and it sticks like sh#t to the panel. Make sure you read the instructions and get a large nozzle for the gun. Your better off using some 1k plastic primer for your fibreglass bits though so the paint doesnt flake off. You can then wet flat the bar coat but dont rub through.If you do blow the section in again, then wet flat the area with 800. If your really keen you can then 2k prime over this and wet flat again. The top coat will then look fantastic.[8D][8D]
