Where / how are you attached the seat belt points or are you not taking that option.

Martin put belts in the front but with bump on the way I'm looking for ways to get something into the back of the van too. This is an interesting option... Though I'm loathe to lose the original bed...

Seat belt mounts are 3 point and built in to the bed / seat frame. They can supply the seat "pull tested" at little over £800.
They will build to custom sizes also, so if you have autosleeper seats etc you can use the original seat tops.

I have a completely empty van so I am building from scratch. I have enough seat belts in the front so looked around for a while to find a good solution for the back.

Current thought is to have a bench seat across the back of the cab seat (that the back removes from and the cab bed overlaps when out) and then have the rock n roll facing forwards a table width / unfolded width away. This would create a longer bed as I am quite tall and we are not going to overdo it as far as cupboards go. Going to rely on a camping stove and awning tent for most things

This is very interesting too - I'm 6'2 and obviously can't sleep across our van, so I'm building a bed to go in lengthways - the slatted expandable type. We'd considered using some of the cab space too with seats folded forward.

I take it you don't have the bulkhead bar which runs behind the cab seats, at about shoulder height ?
I was wondering whether this could safely be removed (and what it's for !)

Mirrors required a slight fettle to fit:

Van is booked in for MOT on Saturday morning at 9am and it is also insured with RH Insurance.

I will try and sketch out my bed idea as it would be an option for you as I am 6'5"

So, final check of everything and points of concern are:
Hazard lights only flash the left indicators yet just indicators all work well. If I say not fitted they can be ignored though.
Seat secureness , job to be done. I expect I will be the one sat in the van for the test, hopefully

Hide the hazard switch somehow, they weren't fitted as standard but if they are fitted then they need to work.
Good luck

Hazard indicators. Bonus...

First time it has been drivenue for anything more than a shunt on the drive this morning and it behaved impeccably!!

Feels pretty good handling wise, feels like the low profiles may be helping a bit.... or maybe its just me?

Oh, it also passed it's mot! No adviseries :)

Thanks guys!

Thought I had a Leak on the cooling system but after investigation it is all good.

Going to attack the fuel pump swap and water pump swap and hopefully an oil change. Going to flush the cooling system out when doing the water oump

Getting fed up, argh, I have taken out the temporary electronic fuel pump, prepped everything for the replacement fuel pump and the discovered that the hose connection is a different size and that I am a fitting short. Can anyone help me with the correct fuel line sizes that should be installed and what part I need??

Original fuel pump ports were the same size as the connection on the car, new is smaller...

Replacement fuel pump :

There's usually a threaded connection on pump the inlet connected to the plastic fuel line (it's the same on both my vans so I'm assuming it's standard) The plastic fuel line is about 5/16" OD.

The hard plastic pipe has been cut to put a fuel filter in but you can just see it and the screwed connection here. The plastic pipe goes all the way back to the tank.

Hi panky
I have a hard plastic pipe coming from the tank which then has a larger rubber hose over it and the larger rubber goes onto my fuel pump.
Rubber hose is just jubilee clipped over hard plastic pipe.

I need a male to hose connector for fuel pump and job done.
Will hunt the Internet to see what I can find.

Does anybody know the size and type of the hard plastic pipe that comes from the tank as I would like to improve the jubilee / rubber hose connection off this

Everything is ordered and from demon tweaks of all places.
All 6mm fittings to go over the hard plastic line and onto the fuel pump and fuel pump to carb.
Fitting required for the fuel pump appears to be 1/4" male hose connector.

I expect I may need hoses for the cooling system when I start on the water pump.

Also hunting for info on how the bench seat should be mounted in the cab. I will take pictures shortly...

Can anyone help regarding the above?
Does the t shaped piece bolt securely to the wheel well and then the seat is adjustable forwards and back? Or does it sit further back on the thinner lip on the step into the cargo area? Which I think would make all fixing holes be on the wheel well and possibly add extra support for the bed when folded down.... help!
