Interesting, how will the oil be burned? Through a spray nozzle of a wick of some description

Got mine off eBay for £50 second hand, my garage is 30 x 20 and I usually turn it off after about 20-30 mins as it gets too warm (garage is fully insulated).

Mine isn't lol

Plus I get waste oil for free so might as well use it

There's the solution, don't bother converting to oil it just carry it around for a while - you'll soon work up a sweat;)

Lol.
Bit of research and its a late Victorian cast iron greenhouse heater but with the top replaced as it had rusted away.

I found a piece of stainless in the bottom, figured out its a flue damper.
The fire grate tips using an external.lever to drop the ashes into the ash pan.

OK so I finally got on with it lol. I've made a waste oil burner unit from scrap, designed to fit in the Ash drawer of the stove I bought. Tested it and it works a treat, just need to plumb it in and figure out how to light it once it's fitted into the stove.

I guess you're going to have to cut a port in the side of the heater body to light it once it's all assembled. Seems to burn well, how much energy does it take to get it lit?
