TV Detector-More is less!

Engine and box now ready to go in. Stripped the engine, really good condition, to say its been stood over 15 years [:0] Took the sump off the auto box, looks like new :p
Picking up the suspension and axle from the powder coaters this week, then I can get a start on putting it back together friday:)

Nice to see the lump cleaned and gleaming - what did you paint with martin? standard car paint?

Got some commercial vehicle paint from a firm in Hull, supposedly ok for engines.
Going to have to put an order in to Speedys tomorrow, I'm running out of bits [:0]

Running out of bits, never! :p

Nice work Martin, nice blue.Looking as good as ever :D

It looks great in blue.

I'll be intrigued to hear how it drives with the auto box. A friend of my dad's had a Hillman Hunter Auto in the seventies. Apart from the soggy gear change, I seem to remember it was very slow and uneconomical to run. Eventually he sold it in the fuel crisis as it was too thirsty. He used to say every time you used kick down it swallowed ten pence worth of petrol; and that was when it was eighty pence a gallon!!

Got all the bits back from powder coating today, started putting the front axle together :p
