R2 the battle bus

Needed a new inner grill for top “vent” so popped to local fabricators and 10 minutes later one stainless steel, cut to size and deburred 4D0F1AE1-C9DB-4406-8D3C-11D571DD30C8.jpegThey’re a helpful bunch.
 
I don't think that will fit, but could be wrong. The track is a plastic 'U' shape without any flock lining, It goes crinkly with age and makes it difficult to slide the windows. I seem to remember someone saying it's still available from Auto-Sleeper.

I think it's only the front pair that slide, 'think' because I've only ever been ably to get one of the moving :rolleyes:
I'll take a closer look later.
 
Oh. Both of mine slide. The back one has a little catch that locks it closed. I think it’s on the top of frame?
 
You know I think you right:) those little catches are stirring memories - the swines still won't open though:(
 
I'm going to be doing Harvey's bodywork in the not to distant future including a respray, I'll probably have the windows out then and will look into replacing the guides I think.
 
Don't think so. The Auto-Sleeper one is a single channel, the frame extrusion has a divider to separate the two runners.
 
Cool thanks. That was a site I was looking at too. Ahh I will have to check my ends. Thank you. Hopefully they will also split a pack lol
