Thing is, where Peggy sits is on soft ground and there's no room to get under her. Managed to take a look at the master and it all seems OK as far as I can see. Trouble is, I can't get to the slave. Looking through the engine compartment I can just see the plastic pipe heading towards the slave and it certainly looks wet, although that could also be from an oil/gearbox leak.
If she wasn't on soft ground I could start her in gear and move her to the hardstanding, but there's not enough grunt in the starter to move her out of the soft stuff. So I'm going to have to try to get something firm down in order to jack her up enough to get her on stands (on more firm stuff!) before I can get underneath and look at the slave.
Oh the joys of Commership!

Hi Baz, had same probs with my clutch slave leaking.
I managed to get some pedal by filling reservior putting my thumb over the top to seal it, then depressing the pedal a couple of times, holding it down on the last push, then topping up reservior then releasing pedal and it seemed to suck fluid down. Then push pedal down top up and release again, finally got enough clutch to to move to a better position for looking at the slave .
Hope this helps, it worked for me but depends how much air is in the system i surpose.
Good luck

LNK the Imp is behaing nicely now, I've left the pair of them at the bottom of the garden. Hopefully he'll have a chat with her and get her attitude sorted, then I can try and sort her clutch out next week before I go back to work.

Imp misbehaving! Seems to be a gear linkage issue, obviously instead of encouraging Peggy to behave she's been a Jezebel and led him on!
On to Peggy. Managed to jack her up using the standard jack and got her high enough to get to the slave. Yes I did use axles stands as the main support - then wound up the jack to assist.
Anyway, I took this short video of the action at the slave when depressing the clutch pedal fully to the floor 3 times (action starts at about 17 secs in).
Not happy that there was enough movement, and as it's easy to get to, I have now removed the slave. The rubber cap was loose and there was much crud in the bore, so much that I cannot remove the piston. I'm going to order a new one rather than try to put this one right. Where's the best place to get them? (Speedy's list them at £32 + postage/VAT etc).

Much the same movement as ours, just looked, should be disengaging. Dry as well.Looks like just needs the dust boot re-locating.
Maybe the friction plate has stuck again...
No, I'm not sure it was ever stuck to be honest. There was no resistance in the pedal at all initially and the master looked pretty empty. I topped it up the other day and pumped the pedal a few times and during those three pumps on the video there was still no resistance except a tiny bit right at the end of the stroke.
The rubber cap was half off when I first looked, for the video I pulled it right off. The slave is no good in my book so will be replaced. If there's still no joy after that I'll pull the master out and have a look at that.
Anyone know of a better price for the slave than Speedy's?

It could be that the master cylinder piston is stuck up in the bore, Ive seen it happen and all you can feel on the pedal is the return spring pressure.
