PEGGY

Cheers guys, I'm going to replace the slave anyway as it's not nice. If necessary I'll do the master as well. Does MM do slaves?

I never do re-seals. Did it to my Frogeye and after all the hassle it didn't cure the fault, had to take it all out again and fit a new one. I'd rather fit a new one.

Just rang Speedy's - "Sorry, none in stock, we only have re-seal kits" I said, "Have you got any for the Hunter?" "Yes, we have those in stock." Me "I'll have one of those then". Should be here tomorrow or Thursday.

Today I've started to fit a new gear linkage to the Imp. The old one is off and I'm just waiting for some paint to dry so having a break. This is what the garden looks like at the moment:

A commer with boost will be appering on a screen near you soon!

No point at the moment as there will be a garage filling half the garden at some point which will mean the fence gets removed anyway.

Already sorted. Gone for permitted development and it's all been passed by Building control. Builder is working on the staged build costs. If I'm lucky work will start on the groundworks/slab etc in the Summer.

Finally found your garage plans on page 22.
Excellent sort of a size[^]
Ours is 4.5m wide but only 2.1m to the entrance beam if up&over door is removed, so no good for campers:(
However we have managed working outdoors so far:)

She's leaning because she's awaiting a new clutch slave cylinder. When fitted the weight of it will even out her stance.

Slave arrived today (ordered yesterday so thanks Speedy Spares!). With Andy's help finished the Imp's gear linkage today. Need to get him back on his wheels and give him a clean-up, fit a few bits back on and then it'll be Peggy's turn - probably tomorrow.

Well you just wont be able to go backwards then

No problem, as long as your hand break works you'll be ok

Ok, fitted the slave today after first trying to sort the Imp - no joy.

Slave went on fine but the rubber boot was too tight on the push-rod. When I bled the lines using the Eezibleed the pushrod was extended and had popped the rubber boot off the slave. So I removed the push-rod and boot then opened up the bore of the boot until the push-rod could slide through OK. Then re-fitted it all, I pushed the push-rod back into the slave so I could re-attach the split pin etc and heard the unmistakable sound of fluid squirting out from the front. Had a look and the master was looking decidedly dodgy. So finished re-connecting the slave and moved on to the master. Easy enough to get it out and this is what I found:

I'm soaking it all before having a go at stripping it down. Due to the cost of a new one I may have a go at a re-build. I also may have a new one somewhere in my stock of spares...................somewhere........................
