My project vans

After looking through the forum found out that the pickup I have had the name of Carter in the past so Carter it is. IMG_1074.JPGThe wood on the sides was falling to bits so replacements are being made. Removed the paint from the lower panels as this was flaking off. Now ready to be repainted. Hope to get this done next week.
Karen the postbus is going for M O T next week.IMG_1054.JPGhope all goes well so I can take it to Edinburgh.

@Colin Stewart - That is some impressive going there! Glad to be one the contributors to the collection.
@bazzateer - It was awesome meeting with you even for the few minutes at Broadgate Circle last month. Hope we get the chance to catch up again when I am over there in July. Possibly get you something for lunch.

project at a stand still as the sun was shining and had the fence and house to sort out. Myself and little Frank went to Thirlestane Castle show on Sunday great day out. Ran out of petrol on the way to the show. Had to crank the van with the handle on the way back. did not realise how pead off people get when you do this at a busy roundabout:):):) think I will take the starter off and do this every time ;););)

Happy days. My brother's only ever go "driving" was a 100yd dash to a roundabout where he spectacularly stalled and couldn't re-start... Unhappy road users! ah - get over it...

That time of year again. The dreaded MOT:( test for KAREN the postbus and CARTER the pickup. Most people are spending the last few days getting ready for Moffat. But as usual (lastminute.com) I am just doing the MOT. Great news is KAREN past :):):):) with few small advisories on Tuesday and CARTER past:):):):) today with two small advisories. Happiest man on the forum this week. See every on Sunday at Moffat :):):):)

Hi all. I am back. I have not put on a post for a long time but her goes. Karen my postbus is in storage for the winter after a few great outings to some great shows. Meeting up with some nice vans and owners. Did not relies Tatton park was so far away 12hour :(:(:(:( but well worth the trip. Carter my pickup is still used every other day. Have made bars and a cover for the back so I can now use it as a low pickup or put the extensions onto the bars and use it as a high curtain side pickup. My autosleeper has had the most work done. I have removed all the paint. Repaired the roof to the front. I have removed the front section at the very front. Fitted new repair panels into the inner panels ready to fit new roof panel. Have repaired all door bottoms and fitted repair panels to the front and rear doors. Made up new inner front valance and repair sections for middle of front valance. Have rebuilt 20ltr Pinto ready to fit just need to find a sierra auto box. The work goes on.

But have come to the conclusion that I should have just got Martin to build me a shell as ever time I look at the van something else has to be cut off. I now have a great Flintstones van and can get the wheels off with a trolley jack.;) Will be back cutting and welding tomorrow.:):):):)
