Panky I Have put some parts back on at your request Will fit more parts on Saturday if I can sneak away from my wife for a few hours. Hope everyone is ready for Christmas.

Hope to get welding pushed on at Christmas holidays. Better welding than watching tv and as you say getaway from the outlaws.
 
That's better:) As well as being a boost to see some new metal in hopefully the door will actually close now;)

Carter got a new step as it was a nightmare to get onto the back. Auto sleeper work continues. Have rebuild the 4 doors. Have made 2 new rear mud wings and cut out the rust on the floor. Fitted new jacking points and new chassis legs. Should have just bought a new shell from Martin. :):):):) Still love these vans.

New prop seal fitted. New clutch ready to be fitted. Prop blasted and painted. Starter and alternator rebuilt. Engine side gasket renewed. New sump ready to be fitted. Fitted new core plugs. Back axle blasted and painted. Rear brakes ready to go back in.Engine bay been painted ready for engine and gear box. Engine gearbox and axle from ci motor home as CI part of the van was to far gone.:):):):)

Hope to fit the engine and gearbox this weekend we had a bit of snow last week so did not get much done. Did not stop me going out in the snow. Karen and Carter going for mot in a few weeks.:):):):)
 
0B910D2F-B65A-448F-94AD-97BEFA28E2CA.jpeg Steam cleaned all of vans engine bay and underneath. Removed all old paint with solvent wash in engine bay. checked for rust. Painted with primer and then a coat of industrial finish. Should keep the rust off for a few years as the paint Lasts a minimum of 30 years in the petrochemical industry. Painted the bay with every thing in place. Have new pipes to fit. Hope to have the engine,gear box and back axle back in on Friday/ Saturday.:):):):)
 
Primer was international 670 aluminium surface tolerant primer. Top coat was interfine 691. We use these paints for the oil industry and off shore pipe work so should last.:):):):)
 
3CDD320C-B568-430F-8422-8FBA36180F6B.jpeg Got the engine fitted today. New clutch is fitted. Hope to fit the gear box in on Monday night. Replaced all brake pipes before fitting the engine to make life a bit easier .
