No fun in that. Have all the panels made to weld in. Hope to get on with it tomorrow.



Work rolls on. Carter got a new step as it was a nightmare to get onto the back. Auto sleeper work continues. Have rebuild the 4 doors. Have made 2 new rear mud wings and cut out the rust on the floor. Fitted new jacking points and new chassis legs. Should have just bought a new shell from Martin.
Work continues on the auto sleeper. Gearbox cleaned and painted. New prop seal fitted. New clutch ready to be fitted. Prop blasted and painted. Starter and alternator rebuilt. Engine side gasket renewed. New sump ready to be fitted. Fitted new core plugs. Back axle blasted and painted. Rear brakes ready to go back in.Engine bay been painted ready for engine and gear box. Engine gearbox and axle from ci motor home as CI part of the van was to far gone.
Steam cleaned all of vans engine bay and underneath. Removed all old paint with solvent wash in engine bay. checked for rust. Painted with primer and then a coat of industrial finish. Should keep the rust off for a few years as the paint Lasts a minimum of 30 years in the petrochemical industry. Painted the bay with every thing in place. Have new pipes to fit. Hope to have the engine,gear box and back axle back in on Friday/ Saturday.
