My project vans

Well done Postman Frank, Or should it be Pickup Frank are you bringing the pickup to Moffat with a couple of the Franks in the back?

After first run out felt as if pickup was holding back. I removed the distributor and cleaned out the inside.image.jpeg
Distributor was full of mud and springs were Brocken. Refitted and pickup ran well. Set off for Moffat With a slight water leak but got to Moffat ok. Pickup ran great all the way to Moffat and nearly all the way back. Could smell burning on the way back then the alternator light came on. Alternator had seized. Got it back to the yard. Removed the thermostat housing and the alternator will refit at some point.

Pickup back on the road:)thanks to Martin. Fitted new water pump thermostat and housing . Replaced all hoses. Removed old alternator. Fitted new alternator and belt.Had to rewired new alternator. Went for a run pickup ok:):):):)

PICKUP Repainted the back bed of the pickup and put down none slip coating. Looks so much better.:)
POSTVAN refitted master cylinder and bled brakes. On the road again:)
AUTOSLEEPER Welding continues. Have now removed most of the paint from the van with just the roof to go:( the interior is being stripped of old varnish and rotten panels replaced:) hope everyone is well:):):):)

Have been on holiday all week getting withdrawal symptoms from not driving my van. Have just been offers a Harvey frost for the back of my pickup:)

Works van was off the road so pickup was drafted in to help. Made a delivery to carron foundry.image.jpegThe gates behind the pickup are from The International Exibition of Industry,Science, and Art held in Edinburgh Meadows in 1886
