LOL can't be doing it any good!!!!
What do you reckon?
new block, with old crank, pistons, cam and flywheel.
Hone, new rings, and big end and main bearings at a minimum???
Productive day.
The engine is out. I managed to manhandle it out with the help of a good friend. Got the engine stripped and this is what I found:
My concern is that the crank is a bit scored too, and I am praying that the scoring will grind out. THe pistons and bores are in good nick actuially, so I will look into getting the block honed and new piston rings.
I then went to get the coreplug out at the flywheel end...I scraped through the cud, to find that there was no core plug to speak of. Fuurther inspection led me to find the ring bit, but the middle had rotted away. This wasn't leaking thuogh, only because the block was that cocked up with silt that the silt had created a watertight seal. managed to get this scraped back so water gets to cylinders 4 and 3.
Yuck[xx(] it looks like poo - thank goodness it doesn't smell like it:I I dug out a load from the same place but the core plug was leaking so not as bad a blockage as that.
Stick the hose in and give it a colonic irrigaton
