Lilith the V8 racing Spacevan

Well that's one side done. Rebuilt the cylinder with new seals, swooped the handbrake mechanism from the spare axle, cleaned, freed off and rebuilt the adjuster. Refitted it all with marine grade stainless nuts and bolts, connected the handbrake rod and refitted the shoes.

And onto the other side. I need the handbrake rod from the donor axle... the part that is seized solid locking the shoes onto the drum along with 20+ years of rust (at a guess)
I had to take the drum off with the shoes, cylinder and adjuster still inside.
The shoes were released by cutting through one. The cylinder needed lots of heat to release the handbrake rod, I gave it a quick wire brush but ideally it needs a visit to my blast cabinet

Couldn't find the right type of new T piece so I scared it with T cut and a dremel.
