Lilith the V8 racing Spacevan

Have a nice time at the seaside, plenty of ice cream for you all. Better to be on the safe side with your aa card.

made it there and back with no problems other than difficult hot starts which is probably caused by a lean mixture

its working really well. Could do with the breather filters putting in as well as the pipe but all is good so far. Fingers crossed.

Positive crankcase ventilation valve, It's normally fitted in the rocker box ( but you could put one in the line from the crankcase vent) and if operated by the vacuum of the manifold - the higher the vacuum the more the valve opens so it operates best when it's needed and has less effect on the mixture. Dead simple and you can get one for a fiver:) The system will also work best if the rocker filler cap is non-vented.

well.... She made it to commerfest and back without a breakdown!! All of the 20 mile round trip she ran like a dream!! :p

WP_20150623_18_44_04_Pro.jpg WP_20150627_19_10_04_Pro.jpg been a busy year or so. Managed commerfest and a couple of trips out before a big end failure. I rebuilt the bottom end with a new crank, shells, oil pump, a con rod etc etc. Then I did some shows and trips out before it went again! That's when I decided its time for the V8 I had always wanted.

That's a film destined to be straight to DVD if I ever heard one. Sorry Nicole but your nose looks funny now:eek:

busy few hours this weekend removing all the parts not needed, gearbox and prop, gear stick and selector rods, clutch pedal, cylinders and pipes, radiator, spare wheel carrier, exhaust, SU manifolds and starter motor. Engine is sat on its mounts until I get the crane from work. Also had to wield the Mig as I found a couple of stress cracks under passenger seat.
