Lilith the V8 racing Spacevan

I filled the tank on Thursday night ready for the weekends camping trip... It was followed by the familiar "pop splash" noise.. the cause.. the rubber elbow fron the filler into the tank split...lengthwise!! Managed to limp the van home and drain what was left. A quick call to Mr M had him opening up at 8pm to supply a new one. Fitted it and refilled the tank with no leaks.. That was an expensive trip for fuel.:p

On the upside we had a great long-weekend in Great Yarmouth with a detour on the way back to see Tim.
480 miles and didn`t miss a beat!!!

Absolutely amazing. One trip and it paid for itself. Managed around 35 mpg AND managed to overtake trucks on the A1... Going UPHILLS!!!!!!:D[8D]:D

Needed the van for work today but after driving 1/4 mile.. No oil pressure again. Thought I'd seen the last of that.

al set for Tatton... apart from cleaning the van, shortening my flares, buying food and packing the clothes. To cut to the point.... I`m not ready!!! I have filled the fuel tank though (and so far it has stayed inside the tank!):D

We had an amazing weekend at Tatton. the van behaved itself perfectly, even screaming passed a VW T25 going uphill on the M62.
The only problem is I think the head gasket might have gone last night. Parked up outside the house, cleared the drive to get the van back on. Fired up the van and was greeted by white smoke and running on 3....Will have a look at it later but we are going on our jollies on Wednesday evening!![:0]
