I sorted my garage into 4 piles of stuff.
1. Stuff I`m keeping
2. Stuff I`m not getting rid of.

Going camping for the weekend to Martin and Karen Maltas' site. First time towing with the SU carb. See what happens. Exhaust is blowing but not sure where from. Possibly manifold to head or downpipe. Will soon find out.

Didn't even know I had the trailer on! Pulled effortlessly at 55 on the short run to Martin and Karen's.
Got it up on Martin's ramp for the grease session. Found 3 bushes that the grease wouldn't go into even though the nipples weren't blocked. Martin took it for a spin and confirmed the steering is heavier than it should be.
Having not driven another I had not been able to compare it. Investigations req

You will notice a reduction in fuel consumption to - unless you get too used to the extra power;)

Not worried about that atm. It can`t possibly be as bad as it was before!

Yeah. Cruising at 55 whilst towing... And not even trying!

Brought the van to work today. 22 miles and the needle barely moved!!
temperature gauge stayed surprisingly low, probably running a bit rich.
Sun is out, drove passed a car dealership twice.. the reflection looked cool as f**k ([:0]) ;)[8D]:D

Well underway mate. Done 100 miles(25 towing) for just over half a tank... Needed a full tank to do that before!

100 miles on 9 gallons[:0] You should be able to almost triple that with the SU and a good tune up:) Maybe a bit less towing:I

Only got 4 on the floor mate. Overdrive or 6 speeder would be nice but thats a long way off yet.

I'm saving.my.pocket money. Lots to do before that though. I "inherited" lots of problems on the van and am working through them. Next buy is a custom exhaust.
