Cant wait. Just the throttle to sort for the test run. Gonna modify the filter I have to fit it until I get the rest sourced. That way I can drive it. Camping next weekend at Martin and Karen's

Rather than modify the filter it's easier to 'relieve' the inner wing slightly with a ball pein hammer:)

Throttle cable sorted athough one of the kids bikes has "lost" its back brake cable!!
The filter sits too low Panky. Chassis leg is in the way.. Its a Mini filter with offset inlet.

Thats the plan but the head of the central filter pinch bolt stops the backplate sitting flush. Will treat it with a grinder tomorrow and try it.

Like I said a little persuasion on the inner wing works wonders;)

Don't worry about the kids, a little 'incident' with a tree due to lack of brakes will be good character building stuff ;):D:D

Haha. Yeah.
Airfilter now on. Shortened the central bolt. Was tight to fit but its in.
First propper test run, scared myself to death on the M62 as I hit 70!! Thats 20MPH more than before!! The induction noise is gonna send the wife mental! Fuel pipe ordered to plumb in the electric pump and the carb overflow.

[8D]Good innit[8D]
You can always plumb in a filter to sit in front of the radiator using ducting, a lot quieter and sucks in nice cold air[^]
You may also find that you're not getting full throttle movement, you can get round this by drilling another hole in the crank on the bottom of the pedal or extending the one that's on the other end of the linkage, Tim put a pic of this on his manifold thread.
Next stop six speeder;)

And my method on Bonnie

If I was doing it again I'd use a short length of solid tube at the side of the rad.

I really like your filter set up. its definitely an option to think about.
For now I managed to squeeze a K&N in that came with the carb. It needed the central bolt head thinning and the shaft and inner cage shortening.

AHA - you've been reading Tim too:D
You may get away with adjusting the turnbuckle in the pedal linkage to get rid of the play, if not just call it an economy device;)
