This thread hasn’t been updated at all this year, so I think I best had make amends. In my defence, I have had a very busy year. I have also noticed a number of conversations unfortunately turning sour on the forum, so I’ve kept well out the way from all of that. ‘With freedom of speech comes responsibility’ a wise man once said
Anyway, I said I had been busy, well that was an understatement. Some of you may remember that I was planning a garage build. It finally went up November last year and Tulip only just squeezed in this weekend (which is about a year later than my optimistic hope!). Plans were somewhat interrupted as I had to prepare for this (sorry girls)...
This year we’ve just used Tulip for what she was built for and have managed to camp at Stonor Park (with plenty of ze VW’s – she went down a storm!), Oxford and Wiltshire. Great times.
The tasty VW on the left was our wedding vehicle; Tulip was a little too rough in places to take on the role [V]
We picked a great day to visit the Cheddar Gorge!
At the end of this rainbow sits a pot of iron oxide.
I managed to get cracking on the garage later in the year and spent far too many hours working on electrics, insulation, boarding etc, but I’m very very happy with what I’ve ended up with.
Cemlyn and his good lady popped round to say hello in their beautiful super low Commer which even manages to make my low truck look like it’s on stilts!
There were a couple of Commers at Brighton Breeze, Kermit was there and so was this one; I love the colour scheme!
And she’s in! I specified extra height for the garage so I can jack up Tulip without any worries, or raise the roof for an airing! Now all I need to do is get practicing with the MIG, oh boy. Watch this space...
