Listen up short stuff, you mustn't forget that your advancing years are at a disadvantage here. Friday is Fight Night! Your only way to tame my anger is with an offering of a big box of Monster Munch (pickled onion flavour please) [}:)][}:)]:D:D

This thread hasn’t been updated at all this year, so I think I best had make amends. In my defence, I have had a very busy year. I have also noticed a number of conversations unfortunately turning sour on the forum, so I’ve kept well out the way from all of that. ‘With freedom of speech comes responsibility’ a wise man once said ;)

Anyway, I said I had been busy, well that was an understatement. Some of you may remember that I was planning a garage build. It finally went up November last year and Tulip only just squeezed in this weekend (which is about a year later than my optimistic hope!). Plans were somewhat interrupted as I had to prepare for this (sorry girls)...

This year we’ve just used Tulip for what she was built for and have managed to camp at Stonor Park (with plenty of ze VW’s – she went down a storm!), Oxford and Wiltshire. Great times.

The tasty VW on the left was our wedding vehicle; Tulip was a little too rough in places to take on the role [V]

We picked a great day to visit the Cheddar Gorge!

I managed to get cracking on the garage later in the year and spent far too many hours working on electrics, insulation, boarding etc, but I’m very very happy with what I’ve ended up with.

Cemlyn and his good lady popped round to say hello in their beautiful super low Commer which even manages to make my low truck look like it’s on stilts!

There were a couple of Commers at Brighton Breeze, Kermit was there and so was this one; I love the colour scheme!

And she’s in! I specified extra height for the garage so I can jack up Tulip without any worries, or raise the roof for an airing! Now all I need to do is get practicing with the MIG, oh boy. Watch this space...

Thanks guys and girls :)

Really would have loved to have Tulip do the honours on the big day, but there were too many people there that wouldn't have understood why a camper with visible rust was our wedding vehicle :( With any luck she'll be pristine when we come to renew our wedding vows!

Well I've finally started the strip down for facial reconstruction!

Like many a woman I know, she doesn't look great without her makeup on. No nasty surprises - so far - though the valances are shot, but I knew that anyhow. The heater inlet area, despite looking horrendous isn't too bad, so I've got a couple of options on how to tackle this. I reckon the seams by the windows might hide a few surprises. I guess the windscreen has to come out regardless before I fire up the MIG [V] The N/S flutes have a bit of filler where she must have dinged something, but I'll worry about those later.

Just fished out my Woolfy valances from the loft, so will offer them up tomorrow then procrastinate for another few weeks!

It looks like Tulip is holding her bumper up over her head like a claymore and shouting 'FREEDOM' :)
