DODGE SUPERVISTA

sorry was you Panky not Steve ☺

yep Steve before fitted the pipe I cleaned it out with degreaser so spotless and clear inside. Tbh the new gauge was a TIM so a different fitting to the plastic pipe i took off the commer pickup i bought from you.... I got an adapter kit. The TIM gauge came with it's own copper pipe but wasn't long enough. I guess the bores could be different but wouldn't have thought that mattered, in hindsight would've bought an electric pressure gauge but hey ho :)

yes read that link loads of times Steve :) the rebuilders are confident they replaced and checked all three so still pointing gauge or pump (or the timing chain feed) hopefully the former

phew...got a proper gauge connected in...18-20 hot tick over and straight upto 50 with revs. Maybe it is the old oil pressure pipe. Think I'm gonna go electric! Thanks for all the help chaps

Will i love a tight schedule! Engine back Thursday means got Thurs, Friday night and Saturday day to get it back in and wired up and run in ready for Jo to take it to Whitby for a week Sunday without me there! Sweating slightly is an understatement.

so it appears I washed the bores, no cylinder wear but needs a rehone and new rings...grrrrr. Lesson... make sure it's tuned properly on a rebuild!

That must have been running extremely rich:eek: Make sure there's a good film of oil in there before you fire it up, it'll soon wash off;)

yep Martin...they can't find anything for the oil pressure yet still got the front cover to come off and cam shells to check out in case one has spun out.

You're well practiced, go for it:)
Have you actually got the new motorhome just in case?
