The Mini did have a sniffle before and dribbled a fair bit of oil around - like any good Mini:I But this is full blown mecho-flu... oozing from every orifice [xx(] I think it is a drive shaft seal but I've not had time to check - too busy on Harvey:)

I've been fiddling again:I Got thinking about what Emmerson said about the close proximity of the water pump pulley to the lekky fan so cut some extra long studs to give a bit more room.

I should be able to get a fan belt in without moving the rad now:)



The throttle cable bracket is attached to the side of the rad so it needs to be re-positioned.



Next problem is the engine cover, the bulge for the radiator cap needs extending.

But, won't moving the rad forward, disturb the centre of gravity, thus causing the nose to dive whilst breaking and upsetting the superb cornering ability :I :D

What has been happening in TBOTG today - strange objects have been seen flying about the place. I think it is an addition to Captain Kirks fleet - it is the Starship K&Nterprise [:0][:0][:0]

I caught these shots before it disappeared into the night sky.





And then the main boosters lit up and it was away:I




If you haven't seen the result of Tim's handy work here it is offered up - a bit of adjustment required to the engine bay me thinks :I
And yes Tim that is a HIF you can see:p Aren't autojumbles wonderful:D

i am soooooooooo glad you found a hif [^],looks like it will go in with 3-4" cut out and perhaps the addition of the cable mounting bracket [8D]
has it got a vacuum take off [?]

Vacuum take off - check - yes it has. I even got a spare carb and picked up a Minisport inlet manifold for the Mini for a fiver[8D]

I didn't have fun today, chopping perfectly good metal out of Harvey goes against the grain - after all it is a rare thing on a Commer:I But needs must and I managed to finally burn my ancient Black and Decker chain drilling the hole I was about to make in the side of the engine bay [xx(]

Starship K&Nterprise has docked with the Mothership.



Blasting through into hyperspace - well wheel arch actually :I



I've tidied the edges back a bit since these pics where taken so things look a bit neater - just got to design a pod to keep the road dirt off, it'll be a swine changing the filter.

I offered up the exhaust manifold and twin down pipes to to check everything before finally bolting the lot together but one of the pipes fouled the chassis[V] I spent a couple of very frustrating hours trying to get things to line up but called it a day before I totally trashed it[:(!]

black & deckers were never very good [xx(]
looking good there panky :p don,t forget to leave enough room for engine movement ;) and that filter only needs cleaning every 50.000 miles, so you don,t need to worry for a month or two :D;)

There's about an inch clearance all round now - the passenger seat could well disappear down the hole[:0]
