hi, just wondered if you had thought of baffling youre tanks different-ie use a piece of sheet alloy cut to correct internal size of tank and then just nip the corners off-or is this way not possible with the tank gubbins and stuff?(looked at pics on page 3).
forgot about tank sender(that would be more down the racing vein-perhaps baffle after sender then foam it- a bit too much being as the commers are not going to be doing too much racing!! ha ha.
I did look into foam originally, but it would add nearly another 100 notes to the cost [:0] and i want to keep them as afforfable as possible
Doing it how you suggest Matt would be simple with a tank with a separate lid, but i fold them in one piece making it very difficult to get 1/3 in with a tig torch to weld the baffle in.
I have revised it recently into a zig-zag strip which seems to work well and is easy to install
Shockingly STD tanks have no baffling at all [xx(]

Here,s a pic looking inside a tank before the baffles go in. Note how the float is set a good way off the bottom, this way when it reads empty there is still a good 1 1/2-2 gallons left

There is a hose that attaches to the filler spout that goes up to the filler neck, mounted just below the tail light, so it,s possible to fill the tank right up to that level. Same with all vehicles
