If there is any interest in having these made up,Tim will look into it,also asked him about replacement water tanks stainless steel any one? Goes without saying I am on the top of the list.

the fuel tank would be a great idea... IF there is some way of making it bigger too :)

Looking under the new van the water tank looks bigger than the fuel!

if he can make them both without them leaking, i will deffinately be interested in the pair,as i have a hole in my petrol tank and im not sure when the last time the water tank had fresh water in it,as the van was laid up for twelve years before i even bought it.i wouldnt want to risk using it now i might get typhoid.:p:D

I would be interested in a smaller water tank, i want to fit one in the bottom of the wardrobe in my highwayman.I removed the original, IMHO its way to big!.

:D

Tim say's he can make ali petrol tank slightly bigger for approx 100.00. full size stainless water tank approx 150.00 smaller is cheaper. He can make any thing you want if you measure up & give him dimensions.rememember stainless & ali are for life not just for christmas :)

Probably not much dearer than an original replacement :I If you can get one.

Have seen somewhere a book on marine conversions where boat cabin was heated using copper coiling from engine cooling system, from what I remember was a pretty basic loop - if I remember where will dig it out for the use of.

£100 really good price on hand crafted tank - if mine turns out to be gone then will start saving[8D] and bigger one is a great idea:)

hi there chris its woolfy, listen i didnt get chance to messure those tanks at the weekend as i was busy but i will do it tomorrow afternoon for tim, how long do you think it will take tim to make them,as i will need to send you a deposit down for them,so he can get started, cheers.;):p

Hi poppi, just need to know if its the same as the pb's,guy's? if it is I have one he can copy.I am sure that we can sort something out one way or another.

just an update guys, i have 10 sheets of aluminium now waiting to be cut & folded :p and have finished making a jig for them [8D] struggling to find the right size tube for the filler neck at the moment as well :( so i am on the case :D

ok you are on the list ;)
the score at the moment is, they are cut and folded and baffles are cut. still need some 45mm tube for the filler necks. i only have about 5 sender units so far (they are proving to be expensive things).
the jig is ready and waiting. although due to the moving house/workshop thing they are going to have to wait a while longer, they will be my first job in the new workshop [^] so in the meantime you guys will just have to improvise with filler/glue/putty/gaffa tape/chewing gum [)]
