the problem is that the prop will be quite short i think,
(hav'nt got axle back yet to check ) so might make a big
difference moving it over just that 'lil' bit.

Yes but the commer engine was slap bang in the centre. I would mount it centre myself. As long as you have a sliding joint in your prop for suspension travel,you should be fine. Cant see the rear diff taking the power and torque of a v8 for very long,there only used to around the 50bhp mark
