Its a shame with any type of classic vehicle that there is a 'class' kind of system. I've got both classic cars and commercials and its always been odd with car club members. Used to be good with commercials but now you get those 'chequebook' restorations and they can only look down on something that you've done yourself without paying some professional to do it for you.

Chequebook restorations really pee me off the chequebook people only look down on things we have done ourself because they cant do it!DIY its the best way of classic motoring!;)

At one show I regularly go to we had our unrestored Karrier Bantam parked next to an old ERF that had just had a £30k restoration! We just do enough on the old Bantam to keep her tidy and tested each year, but we still get just as many admirers!

I was recently introduced to (by Macker1)and joined a local car club, Northwest Casual Classics, and it is refreshingly free of that kind of snobbery. It reminds me of this place - nothing too formal - good people and just out to have a good time what more do you need[8D][^]
