    Summer will soon be here!

Back on the camper for a few days before the summer holidays end. Not spent much time on it recently :-( I'm restoring the roof, chasing the cracks in the fiberglass. Not much fun and my hands are suffering. It will all be worth it, and I'm putting right a bad repair to the corner. [/URL]...

I have had the gas axe tonight. I was robbing the tow bar/back step off the parts van. Not totally sure its a Commer fitment? Was it on the Auto Sleepers extras list? The rear bar seems to have been chromed at some point :-0 very posh powered by rust and brimstone !

So come on then, who is jealous? If you are running a commer you will know how irritating it is not having a interior light that comes on when you open the doors. So as I'm at the stage of wiring my camper van I decided to fit door switches. As the A pillar is a sealed box you need to...

This is only the first fit of the wiring. All just put in place to get the lengths right and deciding where to put everything. I have to rip it all out again and then rap it all in loom rap, to make it all nice and pretty :-). Thank you for your kind words tho! I have also put my first order of...

Been busy stripping the frame down, Looks to have been messed around with a lot in it's life. The rear locking pins have been moved up and also the front springs have been moved up and messed with. Anyone think this could have been done in the factory? Seen the same on there van? powered by...

    Summer will soon be here!

Anyone have any tips or advice on what to do with it all? any good ideas would be nicely received. Between the 2 vans, the 71 registered van has double the amount of rivets in the end panels top and bottom hinges. the 73 registered van with less rivets seems much more flimsy when you put it up...

    Summer will soon be here!

Today the roof came off the van. I'm not all that happy with the way it fits and the fiberglass has had a knock or two in its past. I thought the best thing to do is take it all down off the van to fix and then re sit. powered by rust and brimstone !

    How Good Is Aquasteel?

I have a can of it and have been using it. I do have one complaint tho(this maybe down to a falt in what I'm doing rather than the product), but I find it hard to get stuff to stick to it after I have covered it with aqua steel. The worst was a boot lid I repaired on a Stag, on the bear mettle...

As fare as I know it's the standerd Commer bell housing. Mine is a Perkins 4 108 and has a overdrive. As fare as I can tell the van came out the factory with both. I say this because the overdrive switch is in exactly the right place and is wired in properly along with the overdrive. powered by...

yeah it needs a few less, I have to put in a nice thick wire for the heater plug, also need the right ignition barrel to power that. Heater Taps

Oh right :-/ I new mine was a bit industrial but it beats the original by the sounds of it. I quite like it now. Or tho I may look into fitting a later system like on the dodges. One good thing about mine now is it helps to keep the heater pipes up and out the way :-) powered by rust and...
