If you are running a commer you will know how irritating it is not having a interior light that comes on when you open the doors.
So as I'm at the stage of wiring my camper van I decided to fit door switches.
As the A pillar is a sealed box you need to drill the back side out using the front hole as access. This gives you somewhere to run the wires.

Its nothing new no 1 had door switches on four doors!
But that reminds me I kept them now where did I leave them!

I have had the gas axe tonight. I was robbing the tow bar/back step off the parts van.
Not totally sure its a Commer fitment? Was it on the Auto Sleepers extras list?
The rear bar seems to have been chromed at some point :-0 very posh

Back on the camper for a few days before the summer holidays end.
Not spent much time on it recently :-(
I'm restoring the roof, chasing the cracks in the fiberglass. Not much fun and my hands are suffering.
It will all be worth it, and I'm putting right a bad repair to the corner.

The portafold roof needs a bit of work as well. Im avoiding doing that tho as its still original and in its original gel coat.
I love portafolds there amazing! Spent so much time in it this summer.
