They don’t normally have any shims. There is vertical and in/out adjustment only. Has there been any welding/ repairs done, or are the hinges bent?

This is the Calthorpe, gone to Dublin.

The fold on the inner door bottom left side, should be vertical, not at an angle. May cause issues catching the door frame when shutting the door.

Yes they do wear and can be changed with the big ends.

New oil pressure relief valve is the cheapest and quickest thing to try. Could also be a worn oil pump which can be changed with the engine in.
