So........in my blurred vision of things......you bought your own van and maybe a v8 to go in it.....now that would be cool......IF ...you can get Tim to get on with it ;-))
 
Well......nothing as yet! The ship is still in port, the shippers said that when it is unloaded/ cleared and payment made, if any then I can collect her - but likely to be middle of next week .

I've someone booked to collect on Thursday so fingers crossed! I would hope to hear something tomorrow at least!

Depending on collection, she may be taken straight for her MOT and then I can get on with registering her - I am hoping to get that done swiftly so we may have the slimmest chance of making the October meet.
Having lost a week though from when it arrived in the UK to collection though may prove too much! It is frustrating though for sure, stupidly I thought we would have her here by today (Friday :oops:).
 
Seriously, how long can it take to go through a ships worth of 40ft containers.....

No news yet, really thought I may have heard something today. Was also not going to mention Felixstowe Chris incase someone had that idea :D;)

Sadly, we are away the next two weekends so we may not even have a chance to have a play about in her for a while :mad:. In the meantime, the shed has been cleared and space made for all the odds and sods that are coming with the van and for all the extra bits you throw in on a camping trip....BBQ and a blanket :).

No can't get the staff ! I hope the garage has started work on it might give them a ring soon I think I have been ever so patient so far
 
Had an email today to say the van was being unpacked.......along with a Import bill so it's getting closer! Collection set for Thursday.

Going to ring the DVLA tomorrow, not too sure on the vans history, i would assume it was registered when built in 1967 here before being exported (unknown year). It's
a touch confusing which one of many forms I need to fill out as I am guessing it is not the usual import V55/5 form. It would be nice to get its original registration number if possible :cool: - but as I say, I have no history for her.
