Hi cemlyn,it may not be your screen leaking who did this yourself or auto glass etc?(get them to come back if your sure it's the screen leaking)?
it could be your heater? squeezed your bulb lately? or is it still connected? are you just finding puddles in the footwell?
it could be your roof leaking? or a leak from where wipers go through body?
next time it chucks it down with rain(you shouldn't have to wait long)
get in the back of the van,see if you can see the culprit feel all the way round too,if nothing & you still have rain or wait for another day get the roof up do the same again you may find some dripping in?worth putting some cups to catch the drips.you may have to follow the drip to the entrance which could be much further away.Other sources of water getting in perrished/missing seals on the side doors & windows

I had this after refitting the screen with a new seal. It seemed that the water ran down the outside of the windscreen, flowed to the corners and then seeped in under glass between the seal. Then when driving in heavy rain water was forced over the top of the screen.
Bought a tube of black sikaflex (black tigerseal or any PU sealant will do) and squeezed this in, no more leaks! (though I doubt I'll ever be able to get the screen out again...)
cleans up well with white spirit, so easy to do a neat job.

come to think of it i still had wet carpets after ding this - the headlight rubbers were leaking so replaced, carpets still dry.
respray eh... congrats on getting the fix done mate; do we get any pictures?
I have only taken a screen out on a van to be scrapped so didn't care about the rubbers/ I got one of those handles that lifts with suction cups and pulled and pried and someone pushed from inside the cab with feet; none of which I can recommend as easy!
I would say that identifying the leak source and sicaflex will be the best option; if the professionals can't get it right then I doubt I would do it any better

Thanks for all the tips, the screen was put in by the bodyshop last year after re spray, the water seems to collect inside at the bottom of the windscreen and then seeps down into the parcel? shelf and then the footwell, and it really does come in fast when driving in the rain, I think time to pull it out and seal it with Sikafex?

condensation will run down inside the screen,especialy when you sleep in the van.You need a willing passenger & rain go for a drive.I would phone the body shop.

Why take it out?? Just do what sumbeam sam says and get some black silicone with a nozel on it peel the rubber back where the screen goes in the rubber and go all the way round with the sealer gun. If any prodrudes wipe it off with thinners. I took a screen out a van with its original rubber/screen and that was also sealed in from the factory so you may need to put some round. Is it a replacement rubber from martin at commer van spares?

I had heard screens can still leak even with new rubbers also about the slikaflex at the factory & you only need a small chip on the edge of the screen lots of places water can get in.
