Be gentle with me I'm a newbee !! Hi I've inherited my PB from my Dad who sadly passed away last December.During lockdown I fitted new front valences & repaired the roof.Now its about to go back on the road it needs new tyres,My question is , ,its standard 15 inch rims with 185 15 tyre ,what is a modern equivalent tyre size as close as possible to 185 15 ?

Hi and welcome. A sad way to get a Commer but they are great. Any pictures? Commercial tyres are a must. I’m sure someone will tell you sooner but if not I’ll try and see what mine are on Monday. I know the year is important for hubcap diam but don’t think it’s the same for tyres. Lots of helpful folk on here so you won’t get stuck for advice.

I'm glad you have decided to take on your Dad's old van so the legacy lives on, but yes a very sad way for you to come into ownership.
You should still be able to get 185/15/C tyres (C for commercial) The fact that there is no profile number at the end of the tyre size means that they are a full profile tyre. The last number in the sequence, 70 - 80 - 90 or similar, is a percentage of the tyre width.
