Can't get the hang of this Auto gearbox stuff though :I

Battery side was interesting. I had to buy 2 great big 6volt batteries, which go near the back doors, massive armoured cables then take the power to the front [:0] Even so, the rebuilt engine took some turning, to get it started [B)]

Depends which bit you mean Bernie. It's done exactly as origonal, base van was white, inside rear and parts of cab ivory and outside, pale blue. Would have been much easier to do it all blue, but wanted it to be correct ;)

Exellent Martin, but can you tell me......The big antenna?..........Was it all for show to scare us, or is it full of antenna-ish gubbins that actually worked? Oh, and do you plan to purchase all the correct equipment for inside? Can imagine it will be a bummer to locate that stuff?

Yes it did actually work[:0] Steve Punt did a program last year, on Radio 4, which proved that the technology worked.
On another dissapointing note, due to staff problems and work load, I have had to shelve the Detector van for now (so no Moffatt this year) [V], but hopefully it will be complete for the NEC in November.
