something funny but frustrating.........i got my 12 yr old to sit near me with his pizza and my phone whilst I lifted the box in...just in case of an accident, so he could call for help (quite sensible for me!)...in the crank casing is a steel pin that locates into the bell housing..well once I got the input shaft nicely lined up (through funny comments from my son like ''Dad why are you trying to 'hump' the gearbox?'' ....there was also a steel pin in the bell housing, so of course I couldn't mate the 2 together ....trying to make my son understand that I wanted a hammer and a suitable drift like an old posidrive screwdriver was quite amusing...he didn't have a clue....bless!! eventually he got them and I managed to drift one of the pins out, holding the weight of the gearbox with my legs and giggling my head off at the predicament....''thanks son'' i said....''do i get paid now dad?''....cheeky monkey!!:D:D

Hmm, did i say something about it all working perfectly??

the overdrive is:) a couple of days later I went out again and encountered a few speed humps...ooops! To get the exhaust to side exit, i had slackened the 2 bolts that secure the downpipe to the manifold and simply turned the pipe round a little, all seemed fine until the speed humps:I ...the downpipe was just knocking on the steering:I..just enough to disturb the joint enough to make it blow:I....(plus not very safe bashing against the steering[:0]) ..anyways i have put the downpipe back as nature intended and re- fettled a bend into the system so all is well again...no pics yet but it all sits up under the van a bit higher up too[8D].......couldn't afford to tax tigger end of July and insurance due aswell.going to back tax tigger tommorrow and hopefully get a few days camping in later this week...fairly local but at least it will be a small break[8D]

I normally insure with Peter Best but last night I decided to shop around and managed to find a quote for £86 + £30 for full breakdown inc recovery, homestart and european cover with onward journey and return with a company called Lancaster.......quite pleased with that:)

It was a homebase at 9pm, so yeah was quiet lol..the footprints started because ''I think'' someone kindly shot an air rifle pellet into the back...i wanted a sticker to hide the offending hole and ended up with Tigger prints lol:D

Well I wasn't going to be beaten by the reverse switch that refused to work, so out it came again, dismantled it again and finally it all works now:) like I said before, the switch isn't designed to be taken apart and it may seem trivial, but so satisfying at the same time:)
