So, now I know what you mean when you always say that another switch can be fitted for a reversing lamp:D ...the D-type doesn't have that option...so, the switch is the same as the one for the inhibitor?? how would one go about wiring that to the lamp then?

Yep it's the same type of switch.
Reversing lamp.............get a reversing lamp, bung a switch in th'ole in gearbox, tangle some wire around stuff and it should work:)

really/ is it just one terminal to live on lamp and other to earth on lamp? ...i have no idea lol

No, That's the way I do it;)
Fused live through gearbox switch to lamp, lamp to earth:)
