Hmm, I ordered one a new exhaust sealing ring which came today but I have a question please! ........the ring has like a shiny metal cover on one side and is dull the other side....does it matter which way round it goes??:I
I think I would put shiney upwards to the manifold so direction of exhaust gases would not hit the lip of the metal shroud on the ring. Don't want to creat any turbulence in the exhaust
Really sorry John. totally overlooked your Q? ......sorted the exhaust today.....wasn't happy with it and after grounding it on a speed hump, I have now re-routed it and it is much better...I will take pics tommorrow but basically instead of exiting near the rear wheel, it now exits half way between the front and back wheels...i had to set the grinder on the side valence[:0][:0] but I have about 3ft of unwanted pipe left over and I'm much happier with it[8D]
just awaiting the all new J-Type box to slot in[8D] ...offhand is the relay etc the same layout? .......once done if all ok I still intend stripping my D-type down and fixing it....then I'll either keep it as a back up or I'll sell it on....[8D]
