I lubed the solonoid today and it is defo moving smoothly. Went for a test run and it is still reluctant to disengage so I reckon I will have to adjust the operating lever a little .....luckily it disengaged as I changed down to 2nd[:0]
stopped to walk the dogs and make hot choc and then turned the key to set off for home and ....nothing!...thankfully plenty of willing helpers to give me a push...started fine...maybe a wire loose on the starter...will try and look tommorrow ...

Hi all! ......can I just say a massive thanks to Bernie[8D] He made up a relay for me which I fitted today and my overdrive is now working properly with the new self cancelling switch[8D]
I wired it all up and turned the ignition on, switched the switch and........nothing! undid all the wires and checked they were tight, went all over it with my meter...Nothing!...then the penny dropped! Durrr at me! it only works when I select 3rd or 4th gear hahahahaha!
Oh, and man o man am I cross with mysef[V][V] Take heed people using ramps, the clearence is so tight and tigger went to stall because the engine was cold, I applied the brakes and the shift in body weight made the cab go down and did this...
