Tigger's Bouncing!!!!

Tigger has left the building [^]
Well the clutch drag was sorted, then the blanking plug on the end of the cam came off [B)] so it was gearbox off again to sort that out, so fingers crossed he will be fine now. Much more punchy with the higher compression :p

Not sure, it was a different pressure plate than standard and a bit thinner, or a bit of misalignment in the bellhousing as the one i used was cracked and had to be welded before it was fitted to the box. We changed both :)

Got to bed about 4am and had to get up to take the kids to school at 7.45 as I had blocked our cars in with Tigger:( .....my eyes are sore now! ......I'll post a bit later with how it all went:D

First of all a massive thanks to Tim for all his hard work and Chris for cooking me some lovely grub:D[8D]

It was great to meet Beachboy and also to see Debs & Dave again! Even though between them they stopped us working for about 3 hours AND made me feel bad as they all turned up with Cake for Tim...I tried to make up for it and got him a takeaway ;)

Well, I got there at lunch time Friday and by tea time we had the old box out and the new one in:)

Just a pic of Tigger mid surgery....his bumper had started peeling chrome and although it was nice and straight, I didn't want to pay a fortune for a decent re-chrome and I don't like the painted look so decided to do away with it altogether! I like the look, it shows those lovely flutes off[8D]

Saturday was spent eating cake and chatting to visitors:D .....oh yeah, and Tigger had his head skimmed[8D]

We realised that my straight as I could make it exhaust just wasn't going to fit under the new gearbox so Tim managed to make a new one for me that now exits on the passenger side and has a mid silencer aswel as a back box ...

We had a few teething problems along the way, but thats all good as far as I'm concerned, it was certainly good for anyone else thinking about going 6-speed as any production line issues have now been covered with The Colonel and Tigger[8D]

The biggest headache as Tim has already mentioned was Tiggers cam core plug coming out just before I was due to come home[:(!][:(!] ...still on the positive side I was in the best place possible for it to happen...imagine if it had happened on the way home[:0]

As for my journey home, with the new power boost due to the head skim and that oh so lovely 6-speed, I found myself so excited ...the difference is truly amazing, that 6-speed is so nice to use, the changes are so positive and slick, I highly recommend you all form an orderly queue to get one :D[8D]:D
