Well now down to business. Had a good day in the garage today and got loads done. The engine has been totally rebuilt and is basicly new (ish).
Got the front subframe in and bolted up nice and tight before lunch. Then it was onto the engine and gearbox which went in easier than expected. Though i did have to remove the steering wheel as can only get access for the engine hoist from the drivers side.
After that was done on went a brand new old stock fuel pump.
Just waiting on a new SU carb to arrive so i can finish the mods to the intake manifold. I am doing the same as Commeracer in the 'ported manifold' thread. Even have the special rods for welding cast iron. I will also grind out the exhaust manifold to let it breath a bit easier.
Also plan to install an electric fan and get rid of the driven one (more horses

)move the fuel line in front of the radiator and set up a cold air intake. That should keep me going for a while!
