Do I detect a small amount of sarcasm about ride quality Mr Panky:D:D:D
Personally I think having a vehicle lowered by that much is lets face it.....a dangerous manor is just plain dangerous! .....each to their own though I guess:D:I:I:D

Love the lowered look but others have shown it can be done without rattling your bones;)

Sorry I'm very sarcastic myself. Note taken on your safety concerns Mr. Panky. I'm try to work my way through a list of commer deficiencies. Hopefully I'll emerge the other side of winter with something more user friendly.

Don't be afraid to rustle a few feathers I know that I have made a fair few tongues wag with all the mods I've done but it's your van so do as you please ........ But try not to let Tim get in your head coz the list could never end...... lol

Don't listen to Rich, his van is totally original ;):D

Nothing wrong with lowering or even raising, so long as it's done properly :)

Well the gearbox and the prop are on, the linkage is done, but i can't get reverse due to this [xx(]

The front bush, where to rod goes through is completely gone and creates loads of slop and loss of movement in the linkage [}:)]
Oh the fun you can have removing this [V][:(!]:([xx(][}:)][B)]

I never realised that the FT got to the painted stage. Looks awesome, do we have any more pics?

Tim, so how do you remove that linkage then? Need to double check, but I think the bush on mine is non-existent too [}:)]

More pics will come when it's done and out in the daylight ;)

4 bolts that hold the gear lever housing to the floor, 2 bolts on the crossmember behind the throttle rod, cut the lockwire and remove the square headed bolt holding on the upright arm that the gear lever engages with. Then grind off the 4 rivets holding the bush housing and slip in a bronze bush :)
Re-assembly is the reverse procedure :D

Couldn't the heads be ground off the rivets without dis-assembling the linkage? Then put a split bush in and clamp it together with the two halves of the housing.

I've always found the best and easiest way to tackle this problem is to give it to someone else to do ............ Lol
