This sounds almost identical to the problem I had in Moffat, try disconnecting the fuel pipe at the pump and blowing the pipe back towards the tank with an airline. There was a blockage in the tank on mine which this cleared. sounds daft but it worked, I've had no problems since, if you do this make sure you dont run the tank too low (with petrol), this really is worth a try!;)
 
I had the same thing with one last week. The only way to cure it was disconnect the fuel line at both ends and blow the line out. This way it didn't blow it back into the tank :I
There was also a collection of it in the pump inlet. The small gauze inside the inlet port was covered in it [xx(]

My blockage was actually in the tank and was stopping the petrol entering the fuel line so blowing air into the tank so the petrol 'bubbles' disloged whatever it was. I am going to get the tank steam cleaned or acid dipped to get rid of it but at least I know the problem is in the tank rather than the fuel lines/pump etc. the symtoms were the same as Kelseys, I got a measured amount of milege before the problem occured. In the meantime I have been keeping the tank no less than half full to lessen the chance of the blockage re-occuring.;)

more attacks of the killer snakeskin?[:0][:0][:0] a commer-n problem - can indicated by grey jelly in the glass bowl on fuel filter - old lining of petrol tank breaking off and getting sucked into system[xx(]. Mine would do it as petrol level getting lower in tank and climbing uphill.

Sorry its been a while, its been a while with Clova as well lol
Just thought id drop in and let you know we hadnt forgotten you!

Having more teething problems, so weve left it at nicks work, so he can work on it when he gets time during the day, waiting for parts etc. The handbrake was causing LOTS of probs because the cables were all clogged up, so weve soaked them in a petrol diesel mix and they now work mint.

Nicks work mates have stripped back all the points to try and sort out a few ignition probs. Because Clova was just refusing to start and all the normal (simple) stuff had been cheaked and is fine, we think it might have something to do with the ignition, being semi elec.... but any way he's fixed it for now and she starts first time.

And now were ready for the MOT soon. Nick has to earth the OTHER light because thats playing up.

I think we have both desided to just take our time with her. Shes been stood for at least 8 years so we need to get her up and about and take her for a short run to the coast or where ever we can get haha

looking for a RC40 at the mo, so it wont be long.
