looked into this one a couple of years back, its not a bad conversion,not as good as a KAD jobbie but yeilds 130-140 bhp. i think there is 2 types of k100 head to choose from as well, its quite involved though, lots of re-machining and blocking/moving holes and adapting pulleys for cam drive etc. not something to take on unless you have machining facilitys really.
i do remember that someone has put the whole lot stage by stage on the net somewhere. and it has cropped up on the 16v mini forum.

i saw that done about 10 years ago, it worked well, but the guy had gone a bit mad with it, and machined the end of the block flat so he could drill it and mount idler gears in order to run gear driven cams !
IIRC the bore centres arent quite right, but it depends what block you start with, and how much you care.. its only like 2mm across the 4 or something.

i do know what you mean panky,but it does have its limitations,and you end up blowing diffs/boxes at a rapid rate [xx(]
