Spotted today on the A420

As I drove from Swindon to Oxford this afternoon on the A420 a really horrible, rusty, H reg Commer Autosleeper cut me up on the inside lane of a roundabout and proceeded to drive towards Oxford like a t**t! The van has clearly been modified, it has been lowered ( poorly by the way it bounced around over every minor defect in the road) and was bowling along at around 65-70mph, he failed to stop at another roundabout and forced a car that was on the roundabout, and had the right of way, to brake sharply. I hope the owner of this van is not a forum member as he gives old camper van drivers a bad name. Shame because most Commer/Classic drivers are normally careful and courteous!

Yep that must be it then, he`s in the UK making good his escape in an old Commer............he wont get far!
 
Commer owners usually drive relaxed and sensibly because most of the vans can't go faster.. ;)

How is the sale of the Hadrian coming along, Beachboy? That really is one fine vintage! Wonder how you found it. Some additional pictures wouldn't go amiss if you'd be willing to share/post some. I mean, we'll probably never see one again - especially not in that condition, (until Martin has worked his wonders on his, of course, which I suppose that could take a while.. :)), so we would all love to see how it actually looks like.

If you hurry along to the Classic Campers website there are 6 pics loaded of it. I am unable to load pics on to the forum as I am useless.
It certainly is a gem with a lovely history and an interior to die for, not cheap but then quality never is and it will be an investment as its never going to fall in value. How did I find it? That would be telling would`nt it ;)

You need to check out the Classic Campers for sale website not the Classic Camper Clubs website!
They are two different things altogether, the Classic Campers for sale website just nicked the CCC`s name....nice!
 
sorry I forgot to say 'Scott look at those lovely hub caps and trims if Tim wants 3K for one you might as well buy the van for the hub caps and then sell it on' (maybe you could ask how they have kept them on for 45 years[:0]
