Well not much done on Jim today I managed to sort both doors ready for painting.


I had to take Belinda for her MOT which see passed .



Then I had to spend a little time on Gladys, see needed a new starter motor a little tweek to the timing and tightening up of the exhaust as we are planning a trip away this weekend if storm Katie doesn't spoil that one

Well we will be back out there tomorrow had a long weekend of the restoration, Heidi call over to Martins on Friday to pick up some more panels up.


Just need to weld them in place seal, primer, underseal and paint easy.

So after a weekend off got up yesterday raring to go, but the British weather had other ideas
Not being able to get outside spent the day in the garage making these.


I made a set of door cards just need them to be covered, this is Heidi's Job

Right still on holiday from work so I have to get on with Jim.
With the wind, rain and even hail stones well this is Manchester

and not to be beaten I came up with this.



As soon as I Finished the sun came out.

Managed to get the inner sill welded on and painted.

Thanks to Mr P Wednesday & Thursday were very productive. We welded and refitted the inner and outer door steps.

This is John’s excellent repair to the bottom of the driver’s door pillar.



Replaced the inner door steps


Then the outer.



Fitted the doors to check aliment.






Everything now lines up perfectly and all the welding is done.

Today I was left to my own devices, so I started off with a sleep in



I then started to get Jim ready for painting by filling in the welded seams with filler, sanded down, refilled and sanded again.

Primed the wheel arch and side panel, one side done move on to the next tomorrow.



Heidi has also covered the doors & front panel




Heidi has also started reupholstering the rear seats.
